It’s good to develop a sound SEO strategy in order to help propel your business, your blog, whatever it is you have on the internet that you want to get more eyeballs to. Can you get good rankings and compete with the “big dogs”? Yes! It is entirely possible! The main way to compete with them and get the rankings you deserve is through getting more backlinks.
It’s important to continually research new ways to get more backlinks to your blog or website. Yes, there are very easy ways to do this. Does it matter HOW MANY backlinks you have to your blog or website? Well, yes and no. The amount of links you have pointing to your blog or website is called “link popularity“.
To Google and other search engines such as Yahoo and Bing, link popularity IS important. However, it is not as important as the quality of your backlinks. What do I mean by quality? I mean getting links from high page rank, high authority, frequently visited by search engines, websites.
Getting links from .edu and .gov sites especially helpful in attaining high rankings, although it’s harder to do. One easy way to do it is to search for blogs that are .edu and .gov, and leave useful, relevant comments on them, with a link pointing back to your blog or website. This is very effective. Another super easy way to get high quality backlinks is to use social bookmarking sites to submit each one of your new blog posts.
If you want a super easy and quick method, use a service such as Onlywire, which will automatically submit your blog posts to around 40 or so social bookmarking sites. I highly recommend Onlywire, although there are other services, some that cost money. Onlywire is free though. It works for static websites too, not just blogs.
Try to develop a fully or semi-automated system for getting backlinks, and you will have high rankings in no time if you keep at it, I guarantee you. Don’t forget to do on-page optimization techniques as well, especially your Title meta tag, as they will also greatly help. I hope this tip helps!
