If you’re in internet marketing, then you know the value of social media.  Social media is an easy and effective way to brand yourself.  Twitter is one of the most important social media channels.  Getting targeted Twitter followers doesn’t have to be difficult!

Method 1.  Use hashtags when you Tweet.  This method is super easy.  When you write a Tweet about, say, blogging tips, simply add #bloggingtips to the end of your tweet.  Then, when others search for “blogging tips” or “#bloggingtips” on Twitter Search, your Tweet will be listed.  At which point they can choose to follow you.  This is an easy way to get followers that are interested in what you have to say.

Method 2.  If you have a blog (which you should), then it should be focused on a niche.  My niche, for example, is internet marketing tips, make money online, whatever you may call it.  On your blog, you need to have a link to your Twitter profile.  If people are reading your blog, then they are interested in your niche.  Then they can choose to follow you on Twitter through your link on your blog.  Bam, targeted Twitter followers.

Method 3.  This method is kinda like the opposite of Method 1.  What you wanna do is go to search.twitter.com, or twazzup.com , and enter in a keyword.  Say blogging tips for example.  So you would enter (in the search bar) either “blogging tips” or “#bloggingtips” without the quotes.  Then you will see a list of people who recently tweeted about blogging tips.  If you like their Tweet, follow them!  And guess what?  Usually people who YOU follow on Twitter, will follow you back!  Bam…more targeted Twitter Followers.
